Ruth Marisol Orellana Rivas
I was born in Siguatepeque, Honduras on September 16th, 1989. I am the first daughter of Nazario Orellana and Amanda Rivas. My parents operate a commercial dairy farm which process and sell milk products.
I graduated my high school with specialization in Business Administration. In January, 2008 I started my undergraduate program in Agronomy at the National Agricultural University Catacamas, Olancho. In October, 2010 I visited North Carolina State University as a part of a cultural interchange program.
In June 2011 I got an opportunity to work for Dr. Joao Vendramini at the UF Range Cattle Research and Education Center, Ona, Florida to complete a three month internship. During my stay here I am involved in various experiments dealing with forage evaluation and beef cattle production under different grazing systems.
