João Marcelo Dalmazo Sanchez Visiting Scholar

Biographical Information

João Marcelo Dalmazo Sanchez was born in Mineiros do Tietê, SP, Brazil, on February 13th, 1987, and live in Pirassununga, SP, Brazil. He is the oldest son of João Sanchez and Sonia Maria Dalmazo Sanchez. João is the brother of Luciane Fernanda D. Sanchez who is a Food Science Student. João received his Animal Science bachelor degree at Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos (FZEA), University of São Paulo (USP), in 2009.

As an undergraduate student, João was a member of Studies Group of Forage and Pastures (GEFEP). During four years advised by Dr. Valdo Rodrigues Herling, was member of Tutorial Education Program (PET), during three years and did some internships related with forage and grazing management and ruminant nutrition. João did his undergraduate internship at a livestock consulting company, visiting several farms and completing some projects.

On March, 2011, João started his Master’s Course at FZEA/USP, where he is developing some studies about feed aditives in dry season supplementation for weaned calves grazing Brachiaria brizantha, under advising of Dr. Valdo Herling. From March 2011, to March 2012, João was board member of Graduate Student Association at FZEA/USP. João started email communications with Dr. João Vendramini and on later March 2012, came to Range Cattle Research and Education Center, to spend 6 months developing some studies related to Forage and Grazing management.
