Logan J. Martin
From Southern Kansas, Logan J. Martin was born in Fort Scott and raised near Wichita in the town of Valley Center. He attended Valley Center High School and graduated in 2007. After several years of owning and managing a commercial lawn care business he started his undergraduate degree at Missouri State University.
In 2014, he received his B.S. in Environmental Plant Science/Crop Science from the William H. Darr School of Agriculture at Missouri State University. During his time at MSU he was involved in several organizations including the Delta Tau Alpha National Agriculture Honor Society (∆TA), Alpha Gamma Rho National Agriculture Fraternity (AΓP) and the MSU Agronomy Club.
Logan perused graduate school and joined the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida in January, 2015. As a M.S. Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Brent Sellers at the UF/IFAS Range Cattle REC in Ona, FL he will be studying weed management in pastures and rangeland. His graduate research focus is on the pre and post emergence herbicide tolerance of Arachis pintoi.
